A celebration of Australia's cultural diversity on
The Central Coast at Harmony Day 2013.

Memorial Park The Entrance
Sunday 17th March 2013
10 am to 3 pm

Turkish Culture will be celebrated with displays and Turkish Jewellery making workshops.

In Australia this Sunday is Harmony Day
It's where we in Australia celebrate our vast cultural diversity (1 in 4 people in Australia is born overseas) with representatives from many nations showcasing their nations at the event.

Aylin and I will represent the Turkey and showcase a range of Turkish crafts, information and and wonderful items that we believe will showcase the wonderful culture of Turkey.

I will soon post the pictures here for you all to see. A large quantity of items we will show are from Adana :-) our favourite city. :-)

I will post pictures after the event so stay tuned.

Cheers
Andrew

Pictures now have arrived :-)

Aylin above, our display table. Unfortunately our tent was blown away with the strong winds on the day

I could be a Turkish sultan??!! :-)

Aylin is doing a Turkish jewellery making workshop at the front and that's me with the Mayor of Wyong, Doug Eaton behind.

The Mayor's wife (Ruby) is Chinese and lead the Multi Cultural parade of Chinese Dragons and colourful dances. Aylin, Emre and I were in the parade too but we didn't dance!! lol

Below: How often would you see a salep machine in Australia?? This Machine was purchased in Adana and makes for a wonderful example of Turkish Culture.  From Adana Turkey to The Entrance Australia. It certainly has travelled!

That's the last one of Harmony Day at The Entrance, The next is The Warnervale Festival Harmony day

As you can see, this time the tent stayed up! :-)

 Aylin meets some friends! lol

Hope you enjoyed the pictures

Hoskakal! :-)
